Cassi and Zak’s wedding was filled with family tradition. They were married in a clearing in the woods beside Scattering Rice Lake in Eagle River, WI on property that was first purchased by Cassi’s great great grandparents over 100 years ago. The girls got ready in Cassi’s parent’s 100 year old house set on a hillside over looking the lake. The day was cloudy and gray and everyone was praying for the rain to hold off. Just as the wedding party started to walk down the aisle, the clouds parted and the first bit of sun we had seen all day shown through. Rain held off until the very end of the ceremony! The party continued at Eagle Waters Resort, a classic northwoods Resort full of rustic charm, where the dance floor stayed full and the dessert table was quickly emptied. Tears were shed and laughter was shared throughout the whole day for these two high school sweethearts.

From our friends at GelinAbaci: Summertime love:)

From contemporary engagement ring designs that showcase the center diamond floating like never before Tension settings are setting the standard for something unique. They allow the maximum amount of light to pass through the center diamond creating extraordinary brilliance superior to traditional settings. From pave’ and channel set diamonds to bypass designs, there is always something unique for the fashion forward bride.

There are several differences in tension settings compared to traditional settings (prong settings, bezel settings, etc). One of the main differences is that a tension setting is custom tailored to each individual’s style of choice, center diamond size, center diamond shape and finger size whereas most other settings are already constructed and manufactured.

The spring loaded metal in a tension setting has small etchings/ grooves to the metal creating a seat or cradle like action for the gemstones edges to lock into place. This creates the appearance that the gemstone is floating.
